Synopsis
Charlotte takes place in an alternate world where a small percentage of teenagers develop superhuman abilities after reaching puberty. These abilities, known as “Gifts,” range from teleportation to invisibility. However, the use of Gifts comes with a price: the more they are used, the shorter the lifespan of the user.
The story follows Yuu Otosaka, a high school student who possesses the ability to temporarily control the minds of others. Yuu is recruited into Charlotte, a secret organization that is dedicated to protecting the world from the misuse of Gifts. However, Yuu soon discovers that Charlotte has its own dark secrets, and he must find a way to stop them before it’s too late.
